Nic Stone was born and raised in a suburb of Atlanta. After graduating from Spelman College, she worked extensively in teen mentoring. Growing up with a wide range of cultures, religions, and backgrounds, Stone brings diverse voices and stories to her work. Booklist has given her first novel, Dear Martin, a starred review calling it, “vivid and powerful.” The length and pace of Dear Martin make it a perfect read for reluctant and sophisticated readers alike.
