Since opening in June 2006, The Fresh Market, located at 1500 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Suwanee, offers the atmosphere of an old world European market with its unique fare, outstanding quality and an array of departments including an old-style butcher shop and fish market, bakery, produce and floral stand, and delicatessen all under one roof.

Jim Healy, store manager of the Suwanee location, said staff at The Fresh Market is dedicated to delivering a superior shopping experience that exceeds customers’ expectations by offering fresh, premium products and providing a high level of customer service.

“Our goal is to become an out of the ordinary food destination store for those who enjoy cooking and good eating,” Healy said. “From our bountiful produce and high quality meats to our convenient prepared foods and gourmet cooking ingredients, you will find that we are committed to variety, freshness, and above all else, quality.”

No time to shop and prepare dinner yourself? The Fresh Market has a prepared food section offering a gourmet dinner that would rival any restaurant for those who need to eat and run. And the market’s rotisserie foods offer just that.
Healy said there’s something special about the rotisserie at The Fresh Market.

“Perhaps it is the transformation of your favorite foods into an excellent meal by the gentle rotation in front of the intense heat,” he said. “Or, perhaps it’s the convenience of a wholesome and healthy dinner for families on the go. Whatever it is, our customers cannot get enough of our rotisserie foods.”
According to Healy, rotisserie involves grilling, roasting, smoking and basting all at once, and basting the meat both internally and externally produces an exceptional moistness. Baby back ribs, whole chickens, split chicken breasts, salmon and some of the best wings in town can be paired with a side dish and a fresh salad from the deli for the perfect fresh and convenient meal.

Superior sandwiches begin with the finest ingredients possible and are made from the Signature Collection Deli Meats. Pair one with an apple or a single-serving of the tortellini or pasta salad for the perfect lunch combination.

And finally, customers can indulge in the over-the-top desserts from The Fresh Market Bakery including fresh baked pound cakes, nut breads, cookies, bars, brownies and dessert classics such as éclairs, fruit tarts, cannolis, tiramisu and créme brûlée.

Since opening, The Fresh Market has experienced tremendous growth, and Healy said he feels very strongly about The Fresh Market being a part of the community.

“We participate in events like Taste of Suwanee, Suwanee Day and Music Fest at Town Center Park,” he said. In addition, the market is a sponsor of Suwanee Magazine’s Get Fit Challenge.

“We continue to look for opportunities to give back to the community, and we support many local charities, fundraisers and schools,” he said, including the daily donation of products not sold to help feed the hungry.

Sept. 7, 8, and 9, the market will hold its annual fundraiser “Hope Floats” to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Check the website, thefreshmarket.com, for details about this year’s “Taste of the Holiday event” coming up just in time for holiday planning.

  1. I love going to Fresh Market in the evenings to pick up stuff for dinner. My kids love their rotisserie chicken and the mac&cheese. I’m so glad you did an article about them. They’re well worth the coverage!
