Thousands of people donned green shirts, St. Paddy’s Day hats, accessories, and there were even a few kilts at the 3rd annual Suwanee American Craft Beer Fest. The sold-out festival took place on March 16th, St. Patrick’s Day weekend. The beer fest included more than 300 craft beers to choose from, a Home Brew contest, live music, games and a variety of food from Suwanee and surrounding areas. A portion of the beer festival proceeds as well as money raised from the Home Brew contest, presented by Brew-Depot, went to Kingdom Kids to fulfill wishes for kid’s facing challenging circumstances. The check was presented to Kingdom Kids in April, at a party given to thank the volunteers that helped make the Suwanee Beer Fest possible and to honor Kingdom Kids.
“It’s really touching to hear about the wishes that will be granted with the money given from the Beer Fest. It makes you feel good to help something nice happen for someone that could really use some good news,” said Randall Veugeler, founder of the festival. “We feel privileged to know and be able to work with Kingdom Kids. They are an amazing organization that give families facing really tough circumstances something to look forward to.”
