Kick off St. Paddy’s celebrations with a thirst-quenching twist on the traditional 5k

Lace up your running shoes and throw on your best St. Paddy’s gear — the 5th annual Suwanee Beer Fest Beer Chaser 5K returns to Suwanee’s Town Center Park on Saturday, March 1st at 11 a.m. Whether you’re a hardcore runner chasing your personal best or just looking for an excuse to enjoy a beer in the name of fitness, this event has you covered.

As a Peachtree Road Race qualifier, you can run straight through for your best time or take it easy and savor the five beer stations along the route. Yep, you read that right — beer stops. At each station sample 3 oz. of Georgia’s finest craft brews to keep you motivated as you jog (or walk) your way to the finish line. All participants 21 and over can cheers together with a full beer at the finish line.

Runners will also score some sweet swag, including a cool finisher’s medal, a long-sleeve race shirt, and a commemorative beer glass — the perfect St. Paddy’s Day souvenirs.

The Beer Chaser 5K is your chance to kick off the St. Paddy’s Day celebrations and rock your favorite green gear. Whether you’re sporting a shamrock headband or going full leprechaun, there are prizes for the Best Individual Costume and the Best Group Costume.

Beyond the fun, the Beer Chaser 5K is about giving back. A portion of proceeds from the event benefit Kiwanis, a global organization that supports kids and families in need. Locally, the North Gwinnett Kiwanis Club helps organizations like the North Gwinnett Co-Op and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, so you can feel good about the miles you put in.

After you cross the finish line, keep the celebration going at the official after-party across the street at StillFire Brewing. With live music, food trucks, and over 25 craft beers and cocktails on tap, the fun continues all day. Fun for friends, couples, co-workers or families, It’s the most fun you’ll have in running shoes, and you’ll be cheers-ing all the way home.
