Sieze the Clay!
In addition to its ongoing exhibitions and art for sale, the Suwanee Arts Center also offers yearlong art classes to help nurture your inner artist. We’ve been loving the Beginner Pottery Wheel class, where students learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing and glazing, as well as decorating their creations as they advance. They also offer classes in drawing, painting, photography and more. The Suwanee Arts Center is located at 3930 Charleston Market St., Suite B6, in Suwanee Town Center. Find a full schedule of classes at SuwaneeArtsCenter.org.

Chai New Things
Suwanee’s newest coffee shop, Warm Waves, is located at Town Center next to Thrive Coworking — and it couldn’t be cuter! The cozy space is charmingly eclectic with classic board games and other nostalgic memorabilia nestled among flowers, coffee goodies, and artisan goods for sale. Our favorites include the chai, vanilla lavender latte, and iced matcha. With its laid-back vibes and delicious drinks, this is our new favorite go-to spot for a midday pick-me-up! 500 Buford Hwy., Suwanee. WarmWavesCoffee.com.

Choco-lit!
There’s so much to love about Suwanee’s new chocolate factory, Bitzel’s Chocolate, but we can’t stop dreaming about their delicious schnappers. It’s almost as if someone took a traditional praline but turned it up a notch, combining salty butter-roasted Georgia pecans with caramel for a decadent filling encased in Bitzel’s extraordinary chocolate. Bitzel’s Chocolate is located at 453 Northolt Parkway across from Main Event. For more information visit BitzelsChocolate.com.

Slurps Up!
Located off Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road, Suwanee’s Umaido is a hidden-gem ramen bar where you can pick the spice level from 1 to 10, adapting the heat to fit your own palate. Their delicious homemade noodles hold their texture in a rich and savory broth that will have you coming back time and time again. We recommend the Ultra Spicy Ramen and Green Ramen. Umaido is located at 2790 Lawrenceville- Suwanee Road, Suite 140. Learn more at Umaido.net.
