SUWANEE BUSINESS IS A ONE-STOP SHOP FOR ALL RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL NEEDS SERVICING NORTH GEORGIA AND METRO ATLANTA

INFINITY GROUP has been around since 2014, but their revolutionary rebranding is only a little over a year in the works, and it has redefined the business into a one-stop shop for all residential and commercial needs. Previously known as Infinity Building Solutions, owners and founders John Urban and Tyson Baker applied their combined 70 years of experience in the HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general contracting fields. After meeting at a previous job, they realized their abilities, experience, and tenacity within the building solutions world could contribute to something more. This revelation turned into a dream to own their own business, and before they knew it, the Infinity Group was born.

Fast-forward a decade, and the Infinity Group recently celebrated their 10th anniversary and has reached the 100-employee mark — two milestones that emphasize the company’s longevity and connectivity. On top of expanding their resumé, Infinity Group is also a member of IEC (Independent Electrical Contractors) and has sent at least a dozen people through that four-year trade school program. In addition, they’re members of ASHRAE, Georgia Manufacturing Alliance, and a NATE Certified company.

Infinity Group has grown into a highly respected company that services the North Georgia and Metro-Atlanta region, and John and Tyson attribute much of this success to being based here in Suwanee. “There’s a lot of industry here; it’s amazing when you start looking around … There’s all kinds of manufacturing and distribution centers, so there’s a lot centrally located here for us that makes our lives easier. … Ultimately, we’re trying to serve the local market, but we’re leveraging our businesses to better serve the area. We’re actually working with the state of Georgia on our exports, but the one thing we don’t want to forget is the local support and business. We have a loyal customer base and we like working with them.” The Infinity Group furthers this notion by supporting local community efforts wherever they can, including sponsoring the Boy Scouts of America’s Eagle Scout Recognition Program, charity golf tournaments, and local baseball and swim teams.

Building the Business

It’s been an exciting year for the Infinity Group. They’ve “split building solutions from one company into four … becoming almost a one-stop shop.” What used to be Infinity Building Solutions is now the Infinity Group with multiple service branches: Infinity Project Solutions (General Contracting), Infinity Comfort Solutions (HVAC/Mechanical), Infinity Control Solutions (Electric), and Infinity Panel Solutions (Panel Installation/Maintenance). This redesign is beneficial in organizing the customer’s service needs, as well as categorizing the Infinity Group’s skillset.

According to John and Tyson, they’re “getting to the point where we can do everything. We can repaint your house, we can renovate it, we can install pretty much anything you might need … and we can do that now on the residential and commercial front, so if it’s within the building envelope we either work on it, service it, or manufacture it. There’s really nothing that we can’t take care of or install.”

This transition didn’t happen overnight, however. The Infinity Group’s evolution can best be described as a domino effect; their company is a direct result of their customers’ growing demands. The adaptability, dedication to the client, and undeniable knowledge has propelled the Infinity Group into a category all their own — bouncing between commercial and residential projects and formulating new businesses in the process. To think this all began because two men looked at each other and said, “If I’m going to work this hard, I’ll do it for myself” is nothing short of an inspiring success story.

Both John and Tyson agree their favorite part of their journey with the Infinity Group has been building it and watching it grow. “Watching it get bigger and getting the reputation that we have with satisfied, loyal customers has been [our] favorite part of this. It’s gratifying since everything we do — whether that’s shipping products or fixing things — is tangible. There’s something to be said for that, because at the end of the day, there’s the physical proof that we’ve done something.” When asked how they would most like the Infinity Group to be remembered they responded, “We would just like to have the reputation of a fair and good contractor; that people are comfortable using us, that they recommend us, and that they would come back to us themselves … all in all being trusted by the community at large.”

There’s no denying that the Infinity Group is one of a kind. Whether you’re looking for assistance from a personable team of experts, seeking a company that has boundless passion and knowledge of the craft, or on the hunt to support a locally grown business owned and operated by two salt-of-the-earth men who’ve made a living out of building things from the ground up, the Infinity Group — and all of its branches — has become a staple in the Suwanee community.
