With a vision to bring hair trends and skin luxury to Suwanee, Rhonda Nelson, owner of R Salon and Spa, began welcoming clients to the Suwanee location on Peachtree Industrial Blvd. in March 2010.
Nelson said she chose Suwanee for the location of her salon because it was an up and coming community with its shopping, restaurants, communities and parks. Since opening, Nelson said the salon and spa has been well received.
The unique things that Nelson said the salon brings to the community are the hair care and skincare products she carries.
Prive hair care products, developed by French born Laurent Dufourg, are created from select herbal blends to provide hair with amazing benefits.
“When I saw the products in a New York salon, I knew from the packaging and the line of products it was something I would want to have available for my clients,” Nelson said. “I checked into the line and was interviewed by the company to be able to carry the exclusive line in my salon.”
Nelson’s favorite Prive products include the conditioners and the Texture Spray. The conditioners make hair feel soft and smooth while looking great with no build up. The Texture Spray helps hold hair, keeps frizz out, shows texture in hair and is great for an all-day hold.
For skincare Nelson carries the Obagi line that gives skin a total transformation, something that Nelson said helps the products sell themselves.
“The blender has 4 percent hydroquinone to target hyper pigmentation, and the Elastiderm Eye Cream works to lift around your eyes and helps restore the elasticity around your eyes and reduce the appearance of visible fine lines and wrinkles,” she said.
