Stone Mountain Fantastic Fourth Celebration
Join Stone Mountain Park for a seven-day Independence Day celebration beginning July 1. First, enjoy the park’s regular daytime attractions and then stick around into the evening for the Lasershow Spectacular in Mountainvision with “new music, animation, water effects, an immersive laser canopy, and a fleet of robotic drones synced with music in front of the 825-foot mountain face,” followed by what USA Today deemed a “Must-See Fireworks Display.” July 1-7. Prelude to the Fourth on the Lawrenceville Lawn
Post up on the lawn in downtown Lawrenceville for the annual Prelude to the Fourth celebration, featuring food trucks, music from DJ Suspense and Maggie Baugh opening for The Swingin’ Medallions, beer and wine from McCray’s Tavern — all followed by a spectacular fireworks display at dusk. Head over to Duluth Town Green for family-friendly fun this Fourth of July with food trucks, children’s activities, giveaways and, of course, a rockin’ fireworks display. The day will feature performances by A-Town-A-List and 116th Army Band. July 3, 5:30-10 p.m. www.duluthga.net.
Sugar Hill’s Sparks in the Park

Downtown Historic Norcross hosts a pre-Fourth of July block party on South Peachtree Street with inflatables, local eateries and vendors, and a patriotic fireworks display beginning at dusk. Music kicks off at 6 p.m. with Maxwell Taylor, Man of 1000 Voices followed by Springsteen tribute band Bruce in the USA. Come early to grab a spot! Chairs are welcome. Mall of Georgia’s 16th Annual Star Spangled Banner Fireworks
This annual Fourth of July celebration hosts one of the largest fireworks displays in the area. There will also be fun family-friendly activities including children’s rides, games, inflatables, live music from Mike Neal Band, and food and drink concessions. Hang out after the fireworks for the movie Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. All the fun goes down in the parking lot in front of Dick’s Sporting Goods and Barnes and Noble. Braselton Park hosts a red, white and blue celebration featuring live music from Moby Dick and food vendors. The parade begins at 6 p.m. along Highway 53, followed by a fireworks display that can be seen around downtown Braselton. July 4, 5-10 p.m. www.facebook.com/BraseltonGA.
Gwinnett Stripers vs. Norfolk Tides
Cheer on the Gwinnett Stripers as they take on the Norfolk Tides at Coolray Field, then stick around for a fireworks display after the game. Bonus: The first 3,500 adult fans in attendance will receive a $10 gift card to Uncle Jack’s Meat House in Duluth. July 4, 7:05 p.m. www.milb.com/gwinnett.
