The Georgia Tech police department extended an invitation to Donna and Kevin O’Brien to attend the Georgia/Georgia Tech game on November 30th. During the game, the police department honored the O’Brien’s son Cooper by donating more than $600 that they had raised during No Shave November for Cooper’s Crew. The organization is a Suwanee-based nonprofit formed in memory and honor of Cooper O’Brien, a North Gwinnett Middle School student who lost his battle to Clear Cell Sarcoma in 2014 at the young age of 14. To date, the Cooper O’Brien Scholarship Fund has donated more than $25,000 in the form of scholarships for other young students who have shown great strength in the face of hardships. They are also dedicated to providing funding for research and development to help find a cure for childhood cancer. For more information about Cooper’s Crew, visit CoopersCrew.com.
