The North Gwinnett Arts Association (NGAA) presented the Rosemary Benavides Williams scholarship checks to recipients Abigail Robertson and Kaylee Boyd on Thursday, August 17th at the NGAA Center for the Arts. The students shared how they became interested in art and why it is important to them. The scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who plan to major in a field of visual arts, such as painting, drawing, sketching, sculpture, art education, architecture, computer graphics, or other creative art fields. The scholarship was established in 2012, in honor of NGAA member Rosemary Benavides Williams (1945-2012). Rosemary was a watercolorist with a passion and love for art. She always encouraged others to live out their dreams through their art. For more information on NGAA or the Center for the Arts visit ngaa4arts.com.
